More about, Andrew Daday | General Manager | LA MARZOCCO USA

Andrew hails from rural Michigan where growing up on an organic farm inspired a lifetime of culinary adventures, land stewardship, and an inherent curiosity that would lead to faraway journeys from mountain summits to small villages around the globe. The sum of these experiences serves as the foundation to his ideals on culture, taste, and quality while he credits mentors-past for his storied career focused on mentorship and hospitality.

After high school summers spent bailing hay and managing his very-small landscaping business, Andrew moved to the big city where he studied Culinary Arts (back when there were only two programs nationally). Graduating with honors he later landed some exciting gigs including New York’s Tavern on the Green. Eventually settling in the Pacific Northwest, he attended Washington State University and studied Science and Mathematics—he often jokes that he created his own Food Science degree.

This innovative insight would lead into some colorful roles like importing one the world’s greatest specialty chocolates by Claudio Corallo and successfully operating a handful of Seattle’s most iconic restaurants and cafes including Wild Ginger, Queen City Grill and Via Tribunali. It was the move through the coffee industry that would see all of Andrew’s strengths come together: from roaster to two-time Director of Coffee for Caffe Vita and Stumptown Coffee Roasters, he built strong teams, lasting relationships with farmers and was a champion for sustainable agriculture on a global level. Andrew stepped into the role of General Manager for La Marzocco USA in early 2017 and oversees all daily operations of the stateside company’s business.
