051 : The Power of Design in Coffee w/ Liz Chai

Elizabeth Chai built her Graphic Design career as a coffeeshop dweller and coffee consumer. After a Design Director stint with Octane Coffee, her passion for advancing the industry convinced her to focus her design, branding, illustration, and photography skills exclusively within Specialty Coffee. Her love of “coffee+design” has resulted in extensive travel to see as many cafés around the world as she possibly can, for the design and development of a Coffee Travelers Journal. Elizabeth traveled across the United States on a 3-week #CrossCountryCamperCoffeeCrawl, living in a Linea Mini-outfitted teardrop camper, visiting 35 different cafes between Atlanta and Portland where she now dwells. She currently freelances on coffee-related design projects and contributes to coffee media publications such as Sprudge, Caffeine Magazine, and Fresh Cup Magazine.
